Description
Did you know that nearly 100% of people say face-to-face meetings are essential for long-term business relationships? But somehow people still are not confident in their networking skills!
According to a report published by Virgin, 85% of jobs are filled through networking--not to mention the business deals closed, the strengthened connections, the knowledge gained from learning techniques of your peers, and so much more! People buy from people they know, like, and trust. Networking develops the pathways to building strong relationships.
If networking has that much of an impact on our careers, shouldn't we all feel more comfortable and confident in our skills?
“Networking isn’t just about meeting someone. There are opportunities someone can unlock with networking, and that is what we’re going to teach," said Chamber President & CEO Les Vail. Vail has fostered many relationships within the Chamber, and he will talk with attendees about the critical role networking plays in growing a business.

About the Speaker:
Les Vail served on the Gloucester Chamber of Commerce Board for eight years, and in 2007 he was elected as Chairman of the Board. His involvement in the County and region grew and the position became such a huge part of his life that when the opportunity arose, he stepped out of his corporate shoes and into the position of President/CEO of the Chamber where he still serves today.
